by Lacee Bilke on October 16, 2018 at 11:13 am

Fall by far is my favorite time of year with the cooler temperatures, leaves changing colors, pumpkins, pumpkin spice latte and all the fun ways to celebrate the season with flowers. Here are some trendy looks for fall arrangements.

Flowers in traditional fall colors arranged with traditional fall accents like figs, corn and other vegetables make a classic floral gift.

First Impressions

Walk into any nice hotel, and what is the first thing you see? A beautiful display of flowers. How did it make you feel? Many hotels and resorts use flowers to create a first impression and make you feel welcome. Flowers can enhance the entryway of your own home too, and make guests feel welcome the minute they enter the door. And whether you have guests or not, use flowers to create warm feelings in your home, to start you off with a smile in the morning, or greet you upon your return after a long day. Who wouldn’t want that?  Read More

As a floral designer, I have always been excited by the tradition of the Garland of Roses presented to the winner. I had no idea about all the other flowers before, during and after the race.

The minute I got off the plane in Kentucky and walked into the terminal, we were greeted with every ticket area decorated with red roses.

On the moving escalator, a huge floral arrangement of probably 150 red roses lined the walkway every 10-ft. I counted about 24 arrangements! The red roses continued at the car rental desk, and the lobby of our hotel had flowers everywhere.  Read More
