April was all about WEDDINGS here at Flower Factor! In conjunction with our VaseOff! Challenge featuring Great Gatsby inspired wedding bouquets and our Twitter Party chatting about the latest wedding trends, we invited brides and wedding dreamers to share their Dream Wedding Pinterest boards. Thanks to all who participated!

We received nearly 50 entries and had such fun looking at the creative and interesting pins — it almost made us want to get married all over again. How lucky brides are these days to have a place to collect and share wedding inspiration.

Congratulations to Theresa Huse who wins a $100 American Express gift card for sharing her Wedding Inspiration Pinterest board. While there were lots of terrific boards, Theresa’s captures the creativity we were looking for with many different and interesting elements of a wedding – from the engagement announcement, the dress, the cake, invitations, and photography, to the guestbook, placeholders, favors, tasting forks, guest interaction ideas, and more fun ideas to give the wedding a unique personality. And then, of course, there are the flowers. As a bride to be, Theresa has been pinning for a while — finding inspiration from many different sources – and showcasing a variety of styles and colors of wedding bouquets (we especially loved the heart-shaped bouquet!), as well as uses of flowers throughout the day, from flowers in the hair, to the cake, to the tables and aisles, and in a birdcage for cards from guests.

Theresa’s Wedding Inspiration board will be helpful to take to her florist, who can help her find the perfect look and style custom fit for her. We wish her all the best on her impending nuptials and may she look back years from now at the photos, fondly remembering the feeling and fragrance of the flowers that helped to make her day extra special.

While Theresa’s winning Wedding Inspiration Board “takes the cake,” there are four other boards worthy of spotlighting:

My Dream Wedding – Ethnofantastic by Bernadette  Merikle: This board has a great theme to it with lots of unique pins and ideas with ethnic flair, including oh-so-trendy wedding florals featuring succulents and a groom’s ring with the bride’s fingerprint! Although she’s happily married, we can tell Bernadette would have had a ball planning her wedding with Pinterest.

My Dream Wedding by Amanda Cowan: This bride-to-be shows how to throw a rustic outdoorsy wedding in style. We love the fall-colored florals and hope her wedding has the casual flair she craves, complete with that fun candy apple bar.

Wedding Ideas by Mandee Mundrick:  Sharing loads of fun and inspiring quotes, jewelry and attire, Mandee’s love of hot pink and purple flowers with gray bridesmaid dresses shines through.

My Dream Wedding by Irena Guliche: This bride’s choices take on a feeling of lush elegance, and feature one of our favorite floral pins – a dress with a bodice made of white tea roses! Best wishes for a wonderful wedding and thanks for being such an AboutFlowersBlog and @Flower Factor fan!
